Background
I'm a data architect and analytics leader who came to the field through oil and gas engineering — not the other way around. I've drilled wells, supervised completions field operations with 250+ personnel, and built the operations schedules that drove billion-dollar CAPEX decisions. That operational context shapes every data system I design — I understand what the data represents because I've lived the operations behind it.
At EQT Corporation, I spent nearly a decade as the senior data executive — not advising on Lakehouse architecture, but building it. Production Databricks Unity Catalog across a multi-catalog architecture, 260,000+ monthly pipeline integrations spanning 150+ internally developed APIs, a $3.1M analytics budget, and a 35-person analytics organization built from zero. I know what breaks at enterprise scale because I was the one fixing it.
Before EQT, I served 21 years as a Marine officer — managing a $414 million aviation parts inventory at 99.98% accuracy during a combat deployment, cutting material delivery times by 74% through pipeline analysis, and briefing senior leadership on operational status across global logistics. The analytical discipline and the leadership instincts developed in parallel. They still operate the same way.

If you're evaluating a data platform, planning an O&G digital transformation, or need someone who can architect and build — not just advise — I'd welcome the conversation.
